Sustainability is integral both to NEO GROUP’s daily and long-term activities. We continually strive to minimise the environmental impact of our production, storage, transport and recycling. With ongoing environmental assessment across our activities, we can be sure of performing in the most effective and responsible way possible.

We pay special attention to environmental protection across our production site and head office, with the long-term safety of our staff, our surrounding communities and the wider planet of equal high importance. NEO GROUP utilises our ever-increasing scientific and technological innovations to further boost our focus on sustainability, delivering fresh ways to improve our processes and practices.

Since 2011, NEO GROUP has also produced polyol, under the brand name NEOPOLYOL, which further cements our dedication to sustainability across our business. This strategic expansion into the chemical recycling of PET waste allows us to provide a complete solution that is both responsible and reliable. NEOPOLYOL is particularly suited to applications across the construction industry, with demand also coming from the other polyurethane applications as footwear and automotive.

NEO GROUP is proud to be an active part of the National Renewable Energy Resource Development Implementation plan, which has a strong focus on renewable energy development in Lithuania. Our company contributes to Directive 2009/28/EC, which is dedicated to the reduction of the country’s dependence on imported fossil fuels by ensuring the reliability of its supply. This is achieved in a number of tangible ways, most notably with the construction and implementation of our own biofuel heater, which has decreased our consumption of natural gas by around 70% and also considerably decreased our CO2 emissions from 40,000 tonnes in 2013 to 12,000 tonnes in 2016. NEO GROUP is also strongly supporting this Directive through the utilisation of local biofuel resources and creating new jobs.

We are also working with the international sustainability project SYMBIOPTIMA, with the collective goal of improving the overall sustainability of industrial processes from an economic, environmental and social perspective. Find out more about SYMBIOPTIMA at
